Die zehn Gebote enthalten Grundwerte und sind Wegweiser für Christen. Sie sind Zeichen für den Bund, den Gott mit dem auserwählten Volk Israel am Berg Sinai geschlossen hat.

1. Du sollst keine anderen Götter neben mir haben.
2. Du sollst den Namen Gottes nicht verunehren.
3. Du sollst den Tag des Herrn heiligen.
4. Du sollst Vater und Mutter ehren.
5. Du sollst nicht töten.
6. Du sollst nicht ehebrechen.
7. Du sollst nicht stehlen.
8. Du sollst nicht falsch gegen deinen Nächsten aussagen.
9. Du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Frau.
10. Du sollst nicht begehren deines Nächsten Gut.

The Ten Commandments contain fundamental values and are a guide for Christians. They are a sign of the covenant God made with his chosen people Israel on Mount Sinai.

1. You shall have no other gods before me.
2. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain.
3. Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
4. Honor your father and your mother.
5. You shall not kill.
6. You shall not commit adultery.
7. You shall not steal.
8. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
9. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife.
10. You shall not covet your neighbor's goods.
